We think wine tastings is more of an experience, for this reason we conduct them as a 'Seated Wine Flight' - you can relax and sip at leisure at your table.
You will receive four x 40ml pours of wines of your choice or let us serve you 'Four of our Best'. This is 160ml, a little more than a glass of wine, for $12.50.
We do require Bookings on Weekends.
There is a wine for everyone. Taste the range and buy a glass or bottle. Your call. You'll taste the Macedon Ranges sun and soil in every glass of Gisborne Peak wine.
The Cellar Door is located in the beautiful Macedon Ranges and only 50kms from Melbourne. We are open for wine tasting and cellar door snacks to enjoy with our wines. Come and give us a try - you won't be sorry. We're a little bit out of the way, but well worth the effort.
Directions: we are off the Calder Freeway, be sure to take the Gisborne South Exit and follow the signs to Gisborne Peak. You are best to follow our brown tourism signs as some GPS's get a tad mixed up in our lovely part of the world. If coming from the township of Gisborne head over the top of Mt Gisborne and when you can't go any further, turn left and follow the signs.
There is plenty of seating on the outdoor deck over the water, under the shade of the verandas or in the Fireside Room by the fire. We are weather proof so you can be comfortable all year round. You might want to take The Vineyard Walk, a self-guided tour of the vineyard. Walk, read, talk and learn. It's fun and informative and gets you into the vines.
